Think-aloud books available online

There are two books available online that offer basic overviews about the think-aloud procedure. The first, Ericsson & Simon (1993), lays out the theoretical framework and procedures. It is the one most often cited in research articles (the online version appears to be read-only, as far as I can tell, so no saving or printing).

Ericsson, K. A., & Simon, H. A. (1993). Protocol analysis: Verbal reports as data (revised edition). Cambridge, MA: Bradford Books/MIT Press.

Someren, M. W., Barnard, Y. F., & Sandberg, J. A. C. (1994). The think aloud method: A practical guide to modeling cognitive processes. London: Academic Press.
